Is it possible to be interesting without being a know it all? I have little patience for people who have an answer for everything. Especially those who interrupt a conversation to put their two cents worth in. What do you think? I found myself starting to interrupt people before they are done speaking. I am working at changing what I consider a bad habit. I mean ,who am I? Just a normal person, walking through life, making his way. I like to contribute if I can relate to the subject. Why connect if you do not know what they are talking about? Is it more fun to listen and learn from someone else’s expertise? If they are full of crap the smell permeates from their bowl. Very seldom do I voice my opinion on anything unless I am tired of hearing the same thing over and over again. Are you not the same?
Being knowledgeable about several things can be fun if it appeals to the people you want to be around. Arguing about sports can be interesting. Politics and religion I stray away from unless I am asked a direct question and I am knowledge about the political subject. How do you put yourself on the line for conversation? Are you direct or slide a question in the midst of a different conversation? Is it best to sit back and listen first? Get the gist of a question and respond? Oh my! Oh my! What to do?
I believe having a kind and benevolent attitude goes a long way to being interesting. Being patient and having hobbies people can relate to makes a person interesting.Having varied interest like play tennis, softball, joining a book club if you like to read and so on. Not pushing yourself on people. Getting involved and learning your friends interest may be helpful. Does getting people to talk about you make you interesting or did you piss them off and they think you are a clown? Delicate, isn’t it?
May you have a great life.
She growls for attention
Asking for your affection
She growls some more
If I am reading
She will begin her pleading
She will Slap the book
Until I look
I look at her a little perplexed
I tell her,” I am reading a text”
“Now go and play”
She keeps on going until she gets her way
She growls and rolls on her back
You rub her tummy, that’s her tack
You stop the rub
She growls a low growl
As if to say “why did you stop Bub”
She jumps up and goes outside
To bark at strangers as they walk on by
Soon she is back and gives a bark
She knows it is time to go to the park
She goes to the box and brings me the leash
It is amazing how well she can teach
I just growl
