Are you kidding me?

Deja vu!  It kicks you in the face. Ever experience the illusion that you have been there before? A woman walks by and stops right in front of you. Practically stepping on you toes. You look into her beautiful eyes and she says,” damn, do I know you?” “Are you kidding me?” You say something stupid like, “I don”t think so. I don’t date tall women!”Are you kidding me? You think a friend is punking you.

She ask you if you have time for coffee and you say sure. Your single and it’s Saturday. Why not? You walk to the local coffee shop and sit down. Deja vu! You remember who she is. You feel stupid when you realize she was a cheerleader when you played high school sports. You remember her as being kind to you. Your were shy. Did not have much to say when you were young. Besides, she had a boyfriend. You talk for awhile and realize you have a lot in common. Are you kidding me?

It happens all the time to me. Is there an Angel sitting on my shoulder whispering in my ear saying ” see that girl on the beach you dated her in 1969, remember her?” I walk in a building in San Francisco I swore I was never in before and my wife said remember when we came here in 1973 and my wife has been dead for eight years.Scary stuff. Does this ever happen to you? Hearing peoples voices when you are under stress and you have not seen them in ten years. Sometimes I think the wheel has fallen off the truck if you get my drift.

It is like winning the lotto because you had a dream about it. You got to be kidding me. Deja  vu!  Pure Vida

Crimsom Fields

I walked those Crimson fields with their white placards
Rows of heroes laid to rest in memorandum
I cried as I walked as I search for brothers
Lies were told to band us all together

Flags upon their graves for patriotic splendor
Those same flags those heroes souls surrendered
They walk the grounds with ghostly hearts
Knowing they were a part

Lies and deceptions not known until they did depart
Politicians raise the bar for their lying hearts
Knowing the Warriors will lay
In the Crimson fields they paved

I walked those Crimson fields with their white placards
Rows of heroes laid to rest in memorandum
I cried as I walked as I search for brothers
Lies were told to band us all together
