The way things are

Dawn of another day.

What is the difference between Man and Mother Nature ? Mother Nature’s rath is sudden swift and ending. Man cruelty is unrelenting. In our age we have seen two world wars, and many so called police actions. Today’s world is conflicted with hatred, terrorism, and incurable diseases. A white Police woman and her partner is asked to help a woman with a domestic problem and the police woman is gunned down with a high powered rifle. She is alive, but her partner can’t reach her. More police arrive and a crowd of people commence to chant “Kill another cop! Kill another Cop. White cops in an all black neighborhood are not liked until the neighborhood is desperate yet the show their anger and hatred. My question is, What has happened to HUMANITY?

A young girl of sixteen years of age is raped by a well to do white boy from a good family. He is only seventeen years of age. At the hearing the judge says,

“We must show leniency towards this young man; he is from a good family.”

Hey Judge! Is the girl from a good family? Where is the Justice for the girl. How about this, get rid of the Judge and give the girl justice?Where is the HUMANITY in this sick world?

A young man is arrested for mortgage fraud. He found a loophole in the mortgage industry and is costing banks a lot of money. The banks lobby for a change and he is arrested. The Judge at the hearing says I will make an example out of you. The man spends two years in jail before he is forced to plead out for a felony which was not a crime two years ago. The banks are satisfied. Think the Judge was paid off. I wonder?

I live in Costa Rica now. Things are not much different. Gringos are wanted because we have money. We get over charged because we are all rich. It does not matter if you live on a small pension. A tico (Costa Rican) told my contractor to charge more money because he is a Gringo and is rich. This man was a friend of mine; so I thought.

A window contractor tells my contractor he will give him two hundred dollars if he gets a contract for my house at his price. Being an honest man he told me. He told me to get another vender. Of course my contractor is Nicaraguan. I found Tico’s to be arrogant and sensitive. It is ok for them to disrespect you as a person, but did not like it when you told them to leave because you deserve to be treated correctly, or am I the Ugly American.

I learned to chose carefully and have people around me who can respect me because I show them respect. I wanted to get away from the murders, accidents and mayhem in Las Vegas, and I did,but did I find a different form of mayhem, hatred with no cause? Is that what it is like for the black population in America?

I love life and will continue to look for the best in people. I believe in the old adage, what goes around comes around, so it4 behooves an individual to be kind, generous and forgiving. I believe hatred comes back ten fold. Why cannot people understand we must rely on each other? I believe in heaven and hell and distrust any religion where the preacher drives an expensive car and lives in a million dollar home, a politician who enters service an average Joe and becomes a millionaire on my dime. Countries who terrorize their people in the name of their God and Countries who go to war for profit.

I guess I went on a tangent and am tired of the hypocrisy of the world. I hope I see good changes before I die. Let us do it right!

Rainbow
After a storm, the sun peeks between the clouds
As if God is shouting out loud
Play in the Forrest amongst my trees
On my fields so green

Smell my flowers of different colors
Where my bees love to hover
Thank me for your seven senses
That my world enhances

The sky clears from gray to bright blue
As a rainbow shines through
Bright red, orange, blue and green
Costa Rica colors so clear and clean

I love the smell after the rain
I sit in awe and pray

Thank you for this day
Thank you for this time to play

I walk my dogs and smell nature
The purity of our adventure
Nowhere have I found
The quality of nature abound
